Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all of our IRL family and friends, who've supported us in the first rocky several months of this journey. We made it through what we believe (hope) is the most challenging part of this experience, and we couldn't have done it without you. We're looking forward to 2009.

We also want to send a shout out to all the other parent bloggers of kids with Fragile X. Your honesty, humor, and wisdom has helped us to adjust to our new reality. Thank you. We hope to meet some of our new bloggy friends in Detroit in 2010 - or perhaps even sooner!

To all, we wish lots of health and happiness in 2009.

Hi, Love and Survival!

I stumbled over here from FragileXmom's blog. She's awesome. You sound like quite an individual, also. I've learned a lot about FX and I've been inspired by your blog. Come over and visit Nick sometime.

All the best to you and beautiful Quinn.

Oh, and I'm counting down with you..only 20 more days! wink, wink.

Happy new Year! Love the Fireworks Pic.. Was that from Here? We stayed in Alas and watched the Ball Drop on TV.

The pic is from Google image search LOL. We did go out though and actually stayed up until midnight! We went to a friends' house and they had a lovely toddler-friendly party with pack n plays set up for the kids to sleep in while the parents played board games! To our surprise, Quinn fell asleep easily at our friend's house. Not at all to our surprise, the transfer from plack n play to carseat to crib at home did not go well at all and we had a very cranky baby on our hands for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. But it was worth it!
